
DANNY STOWELL
Born and brought up in Biggin Hill, Kent and now 27 years old, Danny started dancing at 4 years old along with his older brother and sister doing both Ballroom and Latin. He even entered and won his first competition at the same tender age. By the age of 16 he had become Junior British Ballroom Champion, Junior UK Ballroom Champion, Junior UK Latin Champion and was part of the team that won the Junior Formation championships. Winning various titles worldwide he also represented England in a variety of world championships, reaching the finals.
In the ‘Youth Category 16-21’ Danny was once again a member of the winning Youth Formation team and also Youth UK Ballroom Champion, Youth UK Latin Champion, 10 Dance UK Champion, Youth British Latin Champion as well as a World Youth finalist. Through sheer hard work and determination, this same winning streak continued in the Amateur Category (over 21). Danny became part of the winning Amateur Formation Team and won the highly coveted Amateur 10 Dance UK Championship. He also continued to represent his country in Ballroom, Latin and 10 Dance winning various titles worldwide and reaching world finals.
In 2008, Danny started branching out into more commercial events and joined Chris Marques and Jaclyn Spencer’s ‘Cuban Groove Dance Company’, now knows as ‘Dance Rocks.’ The company appeared in all sorts of events ranging from gues appearances on ‘Strictly come Dancing’, gala dinners for the Duke of Edinburgh Awards, Darren Gough’s retirement party, Christmas parties at Blenheim Palace, a tour of concerts with ‘Strictly Gershwin’ and in various ‘Strictly Come dancing’ breaks at Warner Leisure Hotels where Danny also taught workshops to all standards, judged dance competitions and put on performances.
Danny has also demonstrated and taught for Thompsons Gold in all three Baleric Isles and has been much in demand to demonstrate, lecture and coach Worldwide.
As well as all of this Danny has become the face of the cult dance fitness program ‘Bokwa’ and tours Worldwide on behalf of the South African creators. Performing master classes worldwide he also certifies training Bokwa instructors through their continued certifications. He holds instructor lectures using all of his years of dance, performance and teaching skills to help with the progression of the istructors, inspiring them worlswide. Danny has also made many television appearances on behalf of ‘Bokwa.’
